Welcome to Chorley Empire Community Cinema!
At the AGM on May 9th, it was agreed on a new name for the Society. Everything will be the same as before, but we want to bring our image up-to-date while acknowledging the heritage of film exhibition in Chorley.
It's the society's 25th Anniversary next year, and 100 years since Chorley Little Theatre opened as the town's first electric cinema so in honour of these facts our name has changed.
We want people to know we're accessible, friendly, and anyone can come along to watch a film. We're a group of enthusiastic volunteers showing films and we want everyone to know they can just come along and watch a film without any other commitments.
We'll still be keeping low prices, and offering the Season Tickets for our dedicated, valuable patrons and we hope you'll come along to watch.
We won't just be showing films at Chorley Little Theatre but the name is in recognition of that venue being our base and the home of our HD equipment and big screen.
